What students and teams say about the SRS practice — self-defense, qigong, and breathwork built to protect, regulate, and lead. These first voices come from qigong workshops already delivered; more from corporate seminars are on the way.
A Practice That Holds Up Under Pressure
Reflections from participants in qigong workshops, self-defense seminars, and weekly sessions led over the past several years — the same protection and regulation work SRS now brings to teams.
Qigong has been a critical element in my journey for physical, mental, and spiritual development. The benefits were evident even after my first class — added mind-body awareness, improved blood flow, a wholistic sense of wellness. My battle with PTSD from the military and being on the force is ongoing, but qigong has given me the skills to address it, resulting in more restful sleep and less anxiety.

It looks simple from the outside, but you quickly realize how difficult it is. I have a condition called Functional Neurological Disorder that causes me to shake uncontrollably — through qigong I was able to consciously stop myself from shaking for the first time in years. The breathing techniques are also unlocking my spine and back. Absolutely worth every penny.
I've been practicing qigong for over four years. A stressed-out nervous system from work and life events has always been an issue for me — I'm thankful for this practice and the weekly classes, which have transformed my sleep habits and regulated my nervous system to function more properly. It's engrained in my lifestyle now.
Honestly I expected it to be way more intense than it was. It's not complicated the way it breaks down to a few things you can actually pull off if someone catches you off guard. I left remembering what we did, which has honestly never happened to me at one of these. A few of us were still going over it in the parking lot after.
I signed up kind of dreading it as I figured I'd feel clumsy in front of everybody. It wasn't like that at all. He kept it really straightforward and nobody got singled out. I actually walked away believing I could do the stuff, not just doing the movements.
I ended up processing some things I really needed to. After a few weeks, the lower back pain I've had for longer than I can remember finally started to lessen, and my upper abdominal area — something western doctors couldn't give me answers on for years — finally feels relaxed and not in stress. I couldn't bend forward before this, and I finally can. I can't express my gratitude enough. Thank you.
